Client: 2K Sports
The latest video game from 2K Sports, ‘Top Spin 3’, has launched in style with five international promotional trailers and TV spots courtesy of Rushmore – part of the London-based Picture Production Company Group (PPC).
The game coincided with Wimbledon fever and tests the skills of all wannabe and seasoned tennis players.
The international website, created by PPC Interactive, has five local versions - English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
It allows gamers to get a glimpse of the highly realistic game-play experience and find out about the main features of the game, which include a deep player creator, evolutionary visuals, 20 world-class players and over 45 locations to choose from.
International Marketing Manager at 2K, Lia Tsele, said, “Having all elements of the campaign created under one roof was great and we’re delighted with the outcome. The site looks great and all elements complement the game really well.”
Rushmore created trailers from game footage, which was captured in-house. The team then created five executions and adapted them for six different territories.
The project was a huge undertaking as deliverables were needed in various formats such as PAL and, NTSC.
The various game platforms - the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the Wii home entertainment system from Nintendo - all output different resolutions, so rushmore had to format these for the various territories and create broadcast deliverables and web assets that would be compatible with the consumer.
