Agency: Quiet Storm
Client: Little, Brown Book Group
High on drama. High on suspense. This ad certainly caught our eye.
A ticking clock, a woman being chased though a forest. What’s this ad for? Deodorant? Running shoes? No, my friends. It’s for a book!
The Quiet Storm work for Little, Brown Book Group comes after the agency won the account after a competitive pitch in February.
The new campaign promotes 'High Noon', the latest novel by Nora Roberts, one of America's bestselling authors.
Roberts' novels have spent a combined 660 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List, including 100 weeks in the number-one spot.
Over 280 million copies of her books are in print, including 12 million copies sold in 2005 alone.
Her novels have been published in 35 countries. With 'High Noon' she is hoping to bring her success to the UK.
Group Marketing Director at Little, Brown Books, Roger Cazalet, said "The new campaign puts Nora Roberts' trademark strong female character centre stage and is sensational at conveying both the suspense and romance of her novels."
The ad was written and directed by Cat Campbell and Jo Wallace, and produced through Quiet Storm Films.
Campbell said, "Nora Roberts is a household name in America with her gripping novels. Through the commercial we aimed to emulate the tension and suspense you experience when reading her books".
