Client: Fox’s Biscuits
A fast-talking, wise-guy ‘danda’ - a dog/panda hybrid - called Vinnie extols the virtues of Fox’s biscuits in the latest campaign for the brand.
The the fully computer animated campaign includes a 2 x 60; 1 x 30; and a 10 viral version produced by Nick Goldsmith at Hammer and Tongs and Kirsten Kates at Mother, London.
Once the concept for the danda was submitted the client, the character’s design then went into research, and when agreed a maquette of the character was produced.
Modelling and rigging then followed with animation and in-house fur simulation tool, ‘Furtility’ used to add the finishing touches.
“With Vinnie’s speech incurring minimal movement out of the side of his mouth, it was also important to maintain control of the lip sync,” a spokesperson explained.
“Reference for his style of speech was sourced from gangster movies and also from the director himself.“
