With magazine subscriptions generally on the wane a new initiative from IPC Media may help to buck the trend.
The publisher has launched ‘The Mix’ – a ground-breaking new form of subscription service which gives subscribers the opportunity to sample a mix of magazines over a 12-month period.
A first for the industry, The Mix is being launched in two highly competitive markets: homes and fashion.
‘The Mix: Homes’ gives a three month taster of Homes & Gardens, 25 Beautiful Homes, Ideal home and Livingetc; while ‘The Mix: Fashion’ gives three months each of Marie Claire, Look, In Style and Now.
Head of Subscriptions Marketing, Beatriz Montoya, said, “The Mix has been created following on from PPA research which revealed potential subscribers would appreciate the opportunity to 'pick and mix' titles.
“No other magazine company is offering anything like this and we look forward to seeing how subscribers respond to this new initiative.”
The Mix has been created by the IPC Subscriptions Marketing team and launched to complement seasonal sales promotions available as part of IPC 2007 Christmas Campaign.
Both are being made exclusively available though IPC’s subscriptions portfolio site, giftmags.co.uk
