Nintendo ‘Ant and Dec’ advert wins People’s Choice

Nintendo ‘Ant and Dec’ advert wins People’s Choice

A new advert from Nintendo UK featuring showbiz royalty, Ant and Dec, has proved a winner to come tops in this week’s UTalkMarketing People’s Choice.

After an initial introduction the team are shown doing what they do best, meeting and challenging Nintendo fans and families from across the UK.

Starring members of the British public were signed up via a national recruitment campaign looking for genuine fans of Nintendo titles.

Nintendo UK’s general manager, David Yarnton, said that given Ant and Dec’s popularity with everyone from grandparents to grand children and with the broad appeal of Nintendo’s products from ages five to 95, the brand knew they’d make the perfect partner for the campaign.

The advert came tops in the UTalkMarketing People’s Choice – our weekly poll, held in collaboration with OMD Snapshots where we ask 1,000 members of the public to vote for their favourite advert currently in the marketplace.

It received over one fifth (21 per cent) of the vote, placing it ahead of the first runner-up, when participants were asked, ‘Which of the adverts made you want to buy the product or service advertised?’
