London-based designer Matthew Williamson is launching a new e-commerce website, designed and built by creative digital agency Pod1.
The award-winning designer, who recently launched his first US store in New York and last week opened a flagship store in Dubai, is seeking to build a digital offering that conveys the label’s vibrant, cutting edge fashion for women and sets the designer as a leading presence online.
A microsite, also created by Pod1 will give way to a fully scalable e-commerce website. This follows the successful launch of Matthew Williamson’s ‘capsule collection’ for high-street retailers H&M.
The launch will be supported by SEO and email marketing and will be closely followed by an online advertising campaign to promote the e-commerce website and the brand’s most recent fashion lines. The e-commerce offering is also set to roll out to the US later this year.
Pod1 founder Fadi Shuman, said,“As important as it is for all retail brands to give their consumers variety and opportunity to interact with their brand, for designers especially, it is vital to establish their brand image online.”
Pod1's clients include Anya Hindmarch, Matches, Myla and Uniqlo.
