Condom manufacturer, Elasun, has launched an innovative campaign to associate its latex products with the Olympic event despite not being an official sponsor, it has been reported.
In a brilliant piece of online viral marketing, the Chinese company has produced images that incorporate its product into Olympic sporting scenes, according to blogsite Condomunity.
So, for example, a stick figure swimmer is seen powering though the ribbed ‘waves’ of a rolled condom (pictured), while in another two unrolled rubbers are suspended from ropes to suggest men’s gymnastic rings.
In an other execution, a single condom becomes a basketball net, while another pair become the wheels of a bicycle.
All are accompanied by the strapline, “Sports make you health.” Not perfect English perhaps, the but the strength of the imagery speaks for itself.
The ads are just the latest from Elasun, which prides its self on its cheeky approach to marketing.
Its most recent campaign was to promote fruit flavoured condoms in a viral video.
Featuring a man so frustrated with his partner’s love of fruit, he resorts to an orange flavoured rubber to encourage his girlfriend to tuck into his man-banana.
It closes with the line, “Fruit taste, good taste.”
In an age where the Chinese internet police are working flat out to keep things politically correct, we advise you to watch the film below while you can.
