I am planning a corporate event but i am finding it really hard to decide who to invite. I feel like i should invite all of our clients but i also need to keep numbers down.

Has anyone got any tips?

This can be a tricky situation. Try to prioritize with your major clients. In a theory sense the 80:20 rule, 20% of your customers give 80% of your business, may apply in your situation in order to help you choose.

Be careful who you invite, you don't want to end up in the situation where clients you invite buy different products from you and are able to discuss that your competitors does something cheaper or adds value in a certain way.

Hope this is of some help. Remember to have fun and get to know your clients to build not only a business but personal relationship too.

Before you draw up a shortlist of clients to invite, you should know exactly how much each client has spent historically, and have forecasts of what they might be expected to spend in the future. Only then will you know who it's worth inviting.
