Has anyone run an e-mail free day within their organisation?  It is something I'm exploring as part of an internal communications plan - encouraging people to talk face to face and trying to cut down on the quantity of e-mails sent/received each day?  Just wondered if anyone has any research to support or learnings to share about how successful these events can be/

Thanks:

You should definitely give this a go, we did it in our office (big media agency) and the staff really enjoyed a day of actually having to talk face to face and having to call our clients instead of emailing. I have to say, however, not a huge amount of work got done!
