Hi

I'm 27 and have worked in the technology sector for 9 years, mainly in a sales function.

I also ran a successful Telemarketing company for two years with contracts for software companies, developing, delivering and reporting on campaigns for high value propositions.

I have never really been happy in a sales person skin and looking to move on to a more fullfilling career where my background and experience will help.

I'm leaning towards marketing as it seems a sensible transistion and i think it is something I would really enjoy.

At the moment my qualifications are non exsistant and I am looking at taking the professional certificate from the CIM.

My experience covers telemarketing, relationaship sales, website design, html email dedign and delivery, campaign ideas, database marketing and event management, however I realise i lack the PR and strategy / theory side.

I also have an excellent understanding of the b2b market place, especially in the software industry.

Will my experience be of any benefit? will I be employable of taking the CIM certificate? What kind of salary do you think I would need to start on and how long before that increased?
