Apparently Lucasfilm is partnering with Eyespot to allow people to mash-up clips from all six Star Wars films for their own creations. So you will be able to chose your fave clips and mash them together, how fun!

It could only happen at the Beeb. I was walking past Broadcasting House this afternoon and the place was a hive of excitement. Hundreds of people were gathered across the main entrance huddled together taking shelter from wind and drizzle outside All Souls Church.

Men were wearing florescent coats and looking officious, trying to hold the crowds back while a saloon car waited at the main doors to pick up a guest.

What was going on? Jo Whiley had had Gwen Stefani on her show earlier that day. Were the expectant crowds waiting for her to make her exit. Was another star guest in the building? Dale Winton? The Chuckle Brothers? Keith Harris and Orville?

To add to the excitement and sense of occasion a PA system had been installed, piping out Radio 4 to the crowds.

So I asked a member of the crowd what was going on. The answer? A fire drill!!!

Now tell me when was the last time your company had a fire drill and while you waited outside, you were entertained by a PA system?

I guess management must be deperate to keep employee grumbles and moans at bay.

Next time? I'd leave them at their desks.

Dating a Radio PR? You may not be alone. As part of a social experiment in romance the PR went on 10 dates in 10 days with different men, giving daily updates on a station daytime show.

She's been very fortunate. She's found the man of her dreams. And another, in case the first doesn't work out. And a third. And a fourth.

None of the men know about the others and she'd like to keep it that way. But with only so many nights in a week, the juggling's becoming a chore.

So how did she celebrate her new found love(s) on Valentine's Night? She stayed in suffering from exhaustion, of course.

Poor thing.

And at the recent RAJAR conference... a certain Programme Director from a London radio station was like a cat with a blue butterfly. For the second time running and without being asked, he still thought he'd have his 10-pence worth.

"Blah blah blah, let me point out our station's breakfast figures compared to Radio 1, blah blah blah"

*Cue pens down from the media, much rolling of eyes and mouthing of 'whatever'.*

When will this guy learn that people just don't give a toss.

Full marks to the Radio 1 spokesperson for pointing out that Radio 1 is a national broadcaster and that the moaning minny works was talking about a regional London operation.

The editor of a certain lad's mag is certain that he has the sponsor of some comedy awards happening later in the year in the bag after rising to the occasion.

Talks were held with the PR team of a health and beauty brand about their renewal of the contract.

The editorial team and PRs headed on for drinks and karaoke. So desperate was the Head of PR to seal the deal that her head ended up bobbing up and down in the the editor's lap under his jacket. This was in front of the rest of the team.

The mag has been taking no chances. To be doubly sure they secured the deal, the magazine's fashion editor gave the beauty brand's PR manager a BJ in the toilets at the comedy awards last year.

Quality.

I used the toilets at the offices of a well known independent TV company in Fitzrovia the other day. There was a some strange white powder on the wash basin counter. Can't figure out for the life of me what it might have been. Their cleaners should be a bit more on the ball.
