when we changed our CRM system and gave everyone training it really changed the way staff communicated with our customers. Especially the Sales staff. For once they had one screen that pictured all interactions with the customer. Could see that they had been sent a marketing email and had read the story on the site and got part way through sale and given up. They could then chase the lead and convert it too a sale.
The system also tracked customer issues/calls and staff didnt want to be shown up as having an outstanding issue dragging on because it was visable to everyone in the company.
