Heat magazine is finally going online. Heatworld.com goes live early next week and is going to combine a daily fix of celeb gossip with social interaction. Does every single print magazine now need to go online? It seems that slowly they are. Is the future of print really that uncertain?

The short answer is yes. Some I reckon magazines will be able still have profitable print versions, but that the majority of magazines will migrate online. Those for the youngest markets will go first. Look at the stats this week on user-generated content: that's where the eyeballs are.
