I have just started working for a company and have been put in charge of the next email campaign. I helped with the last one and we got lots of bounce backs and the campaign was just not reaching people's inboxes. Has anyone got any good tips that i can impress my boss with?

You will always end up getting a few bounce backs that you can do nothing about. However, there are loads of things you can do:

-Avoid using words like 'free' 'sale' or 'get paid'

-Remove spam flag addresses like 'abuse@'

A couple of other things to verify:

- Do you have current email addresses?

- Is your email less than 50% images?

Also consider using deduplication and address correction software. If you constantly email to people who no longer work at a company your email address can be banned. Also if you send an email to the same person 2/3 times (as you have duplicates in your CRM) it will set a bad example and have a negative effect on yor brand image.
