Two of Europe’s largest digital media companies have merged to form the industry’s single largest provider of Insite audio and visual solutions to retail, leisure and hospitality venues around the globe.
The new Mood Media Group, which combines Mood’s international client base with DMX’s position across Europe, Asia and Australia, will command a significant share of the growing market around the world for customised music, radio and visual identities. Today, the new group supports over 650 international brands in over 90,000 commercial sites.
Jean-Marie Noizet, CEO for the group comments, “The market in the UK for audio-visual solutions is growing at approximately five per cent a year. This merger enables the Mood Media group to lead this market and build upon our existing international client base comprising many of today’s leading high-street brands.”
For over 30 years Mood Media has created music profiles to enhance the shopping experience. The group also create visual content including graphics, custom animations and branded television stations for companies who wish to communicate the right message to the right audience at the right time.
“Visual content has struggled to take-off in the UK because of ineffective business models, whereas in continental Europe, Mood has helped establish visuals as a key element of enhancing the customer experience,” said Noizet. “With DMX already providing audio solutions to over 20,000 sites in the UK, the new group can help any business to differentiate itself from its competitors.”
Over the coming months former DMX Music and Mood Media will re-brand as the Mood Media group. Tibor Kovari, formerly from DMX’s Central and Eastern European offices has been appointed the new Managing Director in the UK and Ireland.
