Midnight Communications' Exhibitions & Events division wins PR contract for London’s first international music show.
Midnight Communications’ award-winning consumer division has been appointed by MB Media to lead the PR Campaign to launch the first London International Music Show. In association with The Music Industries Association (MIA), the Show is set to attract 80,000 visitors over four days, and will take place at ExCeL London, 12th–15th June 2008.
Midnight’s consumer team won the contract in a two-way pitch. It follows a string of recent account wins for Midnight including the Magic of Christmas and the International Caravan and Motorhome Show.
Held in the city responsible for some of the world’s greatest music and musicians, The London International Music Show will rival the best international music shows in the US and Europe and is set to be come the must-attend event for the music industry, trade and enthusiasts alike.
Showcasing all aspects of the music industry, the London International Music Show will feature four unique shows in one. Combining the existing and highly successful London Guitar Show and Drummer Live, the Show will this year showcase two brand new events; Sound Recording Technology and The Unplugged Show, to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
The objective for the PR campaign is to create trade and consumer awareness, building upon the successes of the already popular London Guitar Show and Drummer Live. Midnight will focus on creating a national buzz, working alongside specialist marketing consultancy, A&R Marketing.
Tara O’Brien Head of Lifestyle at Midnight Communications, said: “The Show will be the first of its size in the UK and we intend to establish it as the very best in Europe. We will be utilising a range of on and offline PR tactics to attract trade and consumer audiences.”
