Publishing company, Media 10, has appointed Midnight Communications to handle the PR for the UK’s number one consumer event for design and innovation, Grand Designs Live London 2008. Midnight won the account in a competitive pitch and will be responsible for delivering a multi-platform media campaign over a five-month period.
Midnight enjoys a solid reputation within the events and exhibitions industry for creating fresh campaigns that are carefully structured and strategically driven. The team will draw on their experience and expertise gained from working on a wide range of exhibitions including four previous Grand Designs Live exhibitions.
New for 2008, Grand Designs Live London will be held over nine days, incorporating two full weekends and the only bank holiday not to coincide with school holidays. As the only contemporary design exhibition offering visitors the chance to buy, build and furnish a house all under one roof, Grand Designs Live London will have more show features, more celebrities and more expert advice.
The experienced team of PR consultants will take a significantly creative role in the planning process to ensure the 2008 event remains cutting-edge and inspirational, attracting maximum media attention and encouraging an even broader range of visitors.
The strategy is to retain interest from the show’s faithful core audience and enthusiasts of all ages, whilst specifically targeting attendance from those unfamiliar with the Grand Designs brand, ultimately driving ticket sales and increasing footfall to the event.
