Interactive broadband TV specialist WeDigTV today announces that it has commenced work on an interactive video entertainment show set inside the human body. The show will be the first ever production format set within a living human body.
Accessible free of charge via the WeDigTV network at www.wedigtv.com, the show will allow viewers to navigate through a real human body via a system of on-screen controls, with footage shot via a miniature, intravenous video camera. The video navigation will be interspersed with status reports delivered by a 'Doctor' as the user strives towards the goal of reaching a specific bodily organ.
WeDigTV is currently in discussion with the Indian Council of Medical Research to source the specialist footage required for the show.
Jack Thorogood, Commercial Manager from WeDigTV comments:
"This will be the first show to be created specifically for a TV2 network. It will be the first time that the real interactive potential of TV and internet convergence has been realised outside the gameshow format, allowing viewers not just to view the extraordinary footage from inside a real person, but to explore it at their own pace.”
The show represents the first move outside the gameshow format for WeDigTV’s TV2 network and comes on the back of successes including Deal or No Deal and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
“As TV2 networks expand we will begin to see more shows designed specifically for the format. Production companies are already learning to think outside the traditional linear format and to really involve themselves with the creative and potential offered by this two-way online medium."
