Award-winning Middlesbrough-based PR, marketing and design agency Cool Blue Brand Communications is expanding its team significantly following a raft of new business wins.
Some notable new additions have been made to Cool Blue’s stable of clients which already includes Tees Valley Regeneration and the recent Sonhoe crude oil processing facility project, Johnson Matthey, Traidcraft and Barker & Stonehouse.
Cool Blue’s latest client win, telecommunications provider BNS Telecom, based in Low Prudhoe, Northumberland boasts an industry-leading portfolio of services including IP telephony, helping businesses make major savings on call costs.
Cool Blue is working on a complete revamp of BNS’s branding and marketing, with a new website currently under construction.
Other new clients include E-connect, connection specialists in the renewable energy sector based in Hexham with offices in Ireland and Australia and renewable energy technology company, C-Power.
The team also has plenty to celebrate after landing a clutch of awards at the PR industry’s regional Oscars.
The agency was honoured for its work on three high-profile campaigns at the PRide Awards hosted by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
The Cool Blue team collected Gold Awards in the Best Use of New Media category for the Barker & Stonehouse Your House TV campaign and in the Best Website category for DE Pharmaceuticals’ Escentials (corr) website.
Cool Blue was also presented with a Silver Award in the Not for Profit category for the agency’s work on this year’s Northern Rock Foundation’s Writer’s Award.
The volume of new business wins and subsequent increase in design, new media and PR work has also seen a number of significant new additions to the Cool Blue team at its base in Middlesbrough.
Associate director, Lynn Hepple is the latest recruit, bringing considerable experience in a variety of business sectors following a number of years in Melbourne and London with telecommunications giant, NEC and leading public relations agencies, Porter Novelli and Brodeur Worldwide (now Pleon).
Raman Sehgal joins Cool Blue’s account management team after an award-winning stint at Karol Marketing Group where he was named one of PR Week’s top 29 PR professionals under the age of 29 last year.
Webmaster Lewis Lane’s appointment reflects Cool Blue’s growing expertise in the fields of web development and new media, while Lee Thompson brings considerable experience and creativity to the company’s design studio.
Cool Blue’s Managing director, Tanya Garland says: “This is a really exciting time for Cool Blue. The business is growing and branching out into new areas of specialism and working in a diverse range of industry sectors from retail, science and technology to renewable energy, property and regeneration.
“We have a great team in place enabling us to punch well above our weight in delivering the very best in integrated PR, branding, marketing and communications for clients based in and outside the region.
“All the signs point towards this growth continuing into 2008 and I’m looking forward to putting our ambitious expansion plans into practice.”
