dealgroupmedia (UK) Ltd, leading online advertising and marketing company, announces the appointment of Chris Russell-Smith as Marketing Director for dgm UK. dgm is the trading division that houses the company’s intermediary businesses - dgmAffiliates, dgmAdNetwork and dgmSearchLab (SEO and PPC).
Russell-Smith joins dgm from Newsquest Media Sales, the national advertising sales operation for Newsquest Media Group, one of the largest regional media groups in the UK. Chris started with Newsquest in 2001 as a Business Development Manager and was quickly promoted to Marketing Manager in 2002, and has held this position since.
As Marketing Manager, Chris worked extensively across the Newsquest portfolio of products, liaising with advertising agencies and clients alike, preparing and presenting solutions for sales, events and marketing. Previous to his roles at Newsquest, Russell-Smith has six years experience agency-side working at Young & Rubican, TMD and Carat.
At the latter, he was most notably known for managing the regional media account for Specsavers Optical Group.
With his longstanding and experience in the media and marketing industry, Chris will apply his expertise in reviewing and developing both the internal and external marketing of all dgm businesses and products.
