KINGSTON, NY – Oct. 11 – A new national digital media network expanding in the upcoming ski season will give local, regional and smaller national businesses the ability to affordably tap into the power of out-of-home (OOH) marketing and outdoor advertising for the first time.
Sitour USA’s wireless digital network makes it possible for local and other small businesses in ski resort areas to use digital media – the fastest growing medium in the advertising industry – to reach prime consumers in the affluent ski demographic as they enjoy leisure travel at resorts.
Having been successfully demonstrated and tested two years ago and operated in beta trials last season, Sitour’s digital media network goes live with the coming 2007/08 season with 110 signs in 45 resorts.
Sitour USA’s digital network also allows advertisers to reach a desirable demographic as resorts expand from winter activities into other seasonal activities, such as fall festivals, mountain biking, theatrical productions and water parks, making the network an ideal vehicle for year-round advertising and boosting local tourism.

The full-color LED digital monitors can present local time, temperature and other information specific to the resort, providing real-time information to some of the most affluent consumers as they wait in lift lines for their next run. Content from the ski resorts is interchanged with advertising messages in five-minute cycles.
