The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), the body responsible for overseeing Britain’s farming industries, has appointed OMD UK to promote Red Tractor pork.
OMD UK won the business after a pitch against other roster media agencies and will work alongside BMB to improve consumer understanding of the benefits of Red Tractor Pork and higher welfare standards before a change in EU legislation in January 2013.
OMD UK has been working with BPEX, the division of the AHDB responsible to supporting English pork and pig producers, for a number of years. Most recently in the digital space using PPC to maximise traffic to the Lovepork website and leveraging the Facebook platform to promote consumer interest in Red Tractor Pork around tactical events such as Bacon Connoisseurs and British Sausage weeks.
Chris Lamb, Head of Marketing at BPEX said: “OMD’S understanding of the brief was first class and we look forward to putting their ideas into practice.”
