PlayStation launches interactive training experience for Killzone 3

PlayStation launches interactive training experience for Killzone 3 PlayStation has unveiled the ISA Ultimate Recruit Training Program, an interactive training experience designed to get gamers ready for the launch of Killzone®3 (exclusive to PlayStation®3 [PS3™]).

Sony’s hotly anticipated first person shooter. Join brave ISA forces as they continue their fight against the despicable Helghast.

The hybrid Transmedia campaign has been created by Manning Gottlieb OMD, Candy Space and Agency Republic, and will be supported by a high impact multi-media campaign planned and bought by Manning Gottlieb OMD.

To participate players sign up to, a program specially designed to test your ability to learn and adapt to your enemy, culminating in the chance to fire a real Helghast weapon over the Internet and win a trip to E3 in the States.

The Theory section (designed and produced by Candy Space), sees players hone their skills in intelligence gathering, and the tactics of war.

The simulations will drive players across a series of websites, social media sites and other bespoke content sources. Twitter is the main communication channel for the campaign ( and players track their progress via Facebook Connect (

The first 500 recruits to complete all the training missions will earn themselves a place on the Live Fire Range (created by Agency Republic), where they will have the chance to fire a real gun from Killzone 3 over the internet.

Recruits take full control of a recovered Helghast StA 52 Assault Rifle, which they fire at fully mechanized targets, equipped with hit sensors to give real-time feedback and scoring.

The Live Fire Range opens on 23rd February and will also feature ‘Free Fire’ where slots on the range are periodically awarded to site viewers. Manning Gottlieb OMD was founded in 1990 as Manning Gottlieb Media, a media planning and buying agency.
