LIDA, the digital and direct marketing specialist, has appointed creative duo Chris Whitehead and John Fazio as its newest integrated team.
This latest appointment follows the promotion of Mel Cruickshank to CEO and the account wins of IKEA and NetJets. It is also the latest hiring made by new creative directors Tim Styles and Nicky Bullard. Fazio and Whitehead will bring their expertise to bear on all LIDA accounts, including brands such as Boots, MINI and RAF.
Originally from Melbourne, the creative duo has worked together in Australia and New Zealand for six years at agencies including Clemenger Harvey Edge and DDB Melbourne. During this time they worked on a number of high profile brands including Heinz, MINI and Mazda. Fazio and Whitehead’s experience covers multiple sectors, from finance to FMCG to automotive.
They are behind a number of successful integrated campaigns, for brands including Vodafone, Air New Zealand, Kodak and Barclaycard. The duo have also won a number of accolades including coming first in the RX creative medical advertising awards, as well as winning several Effies Effectiveness awards. Prior to their partnership, copy-writer Fazio, worked at M&C Saatchi Singapore for three years with brands such as Coca Cola, Qantas and Ebay.
Meanwhile, the art director Whitehead, worked at Colenso.99 in New Zealand. Colenso.99 is part of the Clemenger Group, the Australasian arm of advertising giant BBDO. While working here, Whitehead worked with brands such Vodafone, Air New Zealand and Chrysler Jeep.
