Addition Worldwide bolsters digital offering

Addiction Worldwide, the boutique media group, has strengthened its digital offering with a raft of significant new appointments.

The new recruits are Mario Theodorou, Jamie Harvey, Sally Gurney and Laura Scott. The new team members will work within the group’s newly formed Addiction Innovation business, which specialises in effective, creative and innovative digital solutions, and they will work in collaboration with the other Addiction Worldwide group. Addiction Innovation’s current clients include Remington, Russell Hobbs, Chupa Chups, B&Q, UBS, AOL & The Independent.

Mario Theodorou joins Addiction Innovation as Managing Director. He has worked at the forefront of the digital industry for over ten years. He has experience across web design, content, mobile, publishing, advertising, marketing and social media. Mario’s career began at News International where he rose through the ranks heading up digital teams across the publishers market leading titles. Mario went on to work within agency before co-founding digital agency Falcon Scott with Jamie Harvey.

Jamie, who becomes Operations Director at Addiction Innovation, also worked at News International. He went on to work at ITN as a broadcast journalist and producer before joining AOL as Creative Solutions Manager and then finally, joining up with Mario to co-found Falcon Scott. Falcon Scott went on to become a successful agency working across brands as diverse as Shell, AOL, Codemasters, 2k, Pokemon, Toptable and The Independent.

Sally Gurney becomes Technical Director and has a wealth of knowledge within the web, interactive TV and mobile space, managing multiple teams of developers across converging media and tackling the most complex technical projects. Her experience includes working with Channel 4, Virgin Media and the BBC on projects including development of the iPlayer. She will work closely with the creative teams at Addiction to deliver a completely usable and accessible experience.

Finally, Laura Scott joins as an in-house Digital Strategist. Previously, Laura worked for Ketchum Pleon, where she developed social media strategies and campaigns for major global brands including the launch of Best Buy UK and the Philips Parallel Lines campaign with Ridley Scott Associates. Laura worked for Albion on several high profile accounts including Visit Britain and Giff Gaff, and Shiny Red on MySpace, Bassett's and Molson Coors Brewers. Laura is an experienced writer, and is often commissioned to cover consumer technology and social media features for publications such as Tech Digest, Reputation Online and Shiny Shiny. She is also due to be speaking Music 4.5, Social Media Week, and Amazing Radio events.
