The ‘Great British Cleaning Blitz’ is a TV campaign which encourages people to clean their homes using all of RB's products Euro RSCG London has launched a TV campaign for RB which is the first of its kind - it features not just one of RB's cleaning brands but a range of them including Dettol, Cillit Bang and Harpic.
The TV campaign is called 'The Great British Cleaning Blitz' and encourages consumers to use all of RB's products to clean their homes this New Year. Produced in the style of a mock 1940s public service announcement; the ad encourages people to join the cleaning blitz by taking up great offers on a range of big-name cleaning brands available at retailers across Britain.
Euro RSCG London’s CEO, Russ Lidstone said, “In these times of endless sales and offers, finding yet another retailer offer that cuts through the masses is quite a challenge. In the Great British Cleaning Blitz we have created a vehicle for RB brands which is at once engaging and hard-selling and community focused. The charm of the advertising lies in its wit and its evocation of the “stiff upper lip” mentality that many Britons hold dear.”
The spot features families all over the country proudly and enthusiastically getting on with the task of cleaning their homes. Even Fido the family dog joins in and is seen busily polishing a table.
“Consumers told us that when the tree goes out and the decorations come down, you can see that it is the time to de-clutter” says Stefan Gaa, Marketing Director, RB UK. “We know that consumers want the opportunity to start afresh in January, so we brought together the leading household name brands to work with stores to deliver great in store offers to consumers at just the right time when they will be looking to stock up on cleaning products.”
