Havas Media launches Havas Media Social division

Havas Media have further strengthened their extensive social media services by investing in a dedicated social media offering, Havas Media Social which will launch at the end of January 2011.

Havas Media Social will be powered by the unique mix of award-winning Havas Media agencies in the UK and led by Havas Head of Social Media, Neil Kleiner who joined in April 2010. Havas Media Social will work with the already thriving social media teams of MPG Media Contacts, Arena Media’s 247 Social, ais... and Cake across their existing portfolio of blue chip clients.

The role of Havas Media Social will be to offer central support with strategy, new business and best practice for the teams of over 40 dedicated social media experts across the Havas Media UK agencies. It will uniquely bring together the combined skills and experience of each agency to offer a ‘full service’ social offering across the full suite of paid, earned and owned media services.

The launch coincides with the appointment of Amy Kean as director of social media, reporting into Neil Kleiner. Having worked at the UK digital advertising trade body, the Internet Advertising Bureau since 2003, Kean has been responsible for building the IAB brand and engaging directly with advertisers to help them make sense of digital media. Kean also headed-up the IAB’s Social Media Council, a group of expert social media practitioners tasked with promoting and protecting the industry, whilst leading industry-wide progress in measurement and education.

Social Arena 247Social is a dedicated social media agency that works with advertisers to help develop, create, run, implement and evaluate social media strategies.
