The UK’s largest and leading deceased suppression file, Mortascreen, is adding one million extra records to its existing file of nearly nine million records this month.
This announcement follows the news that from December 2010, Mortascreen has exclusive access rights to deceased data captured from opt-in forms. These forms are included in wallets distributed by over 80 per cent of UK Registries. Accurate and up to date data is also added to the file weekly, by capturing up to 70 per cent of deaths within four weeks across the United Kingdom.
The Mortascreen file is compiled from a variety of sources including, probate data, funeral directors, consumer registration cards and third party contributors. All records have a unique source indicator, and nearly 80 per cent have death certificate verification.
Jo Bell, commercial director, Mortascreen Comments: “We’re proud to add one million records to the already existing circa nine million. With our stringent data quality checks and PAF verification, the Mortascreen file is the most recent and accurate suppression data available and also the largest.”
