Acer, the global technology company, has appointed marketing services business Acxiom to assist with the roll-out of its exciting new next-generation platform, alive.
Acxiom, a recognised leader in marketing services and technology specialising in audience engagement and customer personalisation, will work in partnership with Acer to build and run a recommendation engine to ensure the correct content reaches the right people. Acxiom will be tasked with the strategic conception and building of the recommendation engine.
Acxiom will use its long-term understanding of consumer profiling and numerous statistical tools to drive customer behaviour insight on the content platform, and personalisation. Acxiom will also provide the hosting and ongoing evolution and maintenance of the recommendation engine from its various data centres.
alive, which is currently being rolled out globally and is now available in the UK and Italy, lets Acer users discover and enjoy a rich variety of digital content related to their personal interests, from music and movies to books and games. Content is managed directly by expert third-party providers, and instantly updated when something new and relevant becomes available, allowing users to be constantly up to speed with their interests. Zinio: photography and in-depth reporting from the most popular magazine titles around the world
Adobe: alive will deliver thousands of Adobe AIR® applications to users Intel: provides compelling applications coming from the Intel AppUpSM centre.
