Lovethymakeup.com now has a 15 strong tester panel to trial and review its wide range of cosmetics products thanks to a crowdsourcing campaign.
To help recruit 15 young women to take part in the tester panel, Brand8 PR implemented a crowdsourcing campaign that involved announcing the search for members on the Lovethymakeup blog and asking makeup fans that were interested in taking part to get in touch with their details.
In order to further encourage consumer participation, Leeds PR agency Brand8 PR also partnered with popular online magazine Sugarscape.com to announce the search for participants.
In addition, the search for panel members was featured on the Lovethymakeup twitter and facebook pages in order to communicate with Lovethymakeup’s well-established online community.
Linda Arter, sales director at Lovethymakeup.com, said: “The crowd sourced tester panel will enable us to expand and improve our existing cosmetics ranges and also aid new product development. This level of consumer interaction and peer-to-peer advocacy will undoubtedly create more commercial opportunities for lovethymakeup.com.”
Brand8 PR received an outstanding response, with over 100 girls of varying ages applying to be members of the tester panel.
An overwhelming reaction to the search was also documented on Sugarscape.com and the Lovethymakeup blog, as well as the twitter and facebook pages, with frequent comments about the tester panel and numerous enquiries about how to become a member being posted during the recruitment process.
