Leading multi-disciplined marketing communications agency Arc, part of the Leo Burnett Group, has appointed Dan Collins as its new Head of Digital. The appointment comes as Arc is seeing substantial growth in the sector as it uses digital media to maximise the impact of integrated campaigns, with clients increasingly taking advantage of the additional benefits this approach can bring.
Before joining Arc, Dan was based in California as Managing Partner of C4 Consulting, an integrated agency focused on Direct Marketing, Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) and Interactive with a variety of global technology, financial services, telecommunications and entertainment & media clients.
Diana Cawley, Deputy Managing Director at Arc says, “Dan has a highly successful career building successful agencies working with blue chip brands. His extensive knowledge will be invaluable as Arc continues to grow delivering integrated off line and on line campaigns for brands. The US is at the forefront of digital marketing, and Dan’s experience there will drive the Arc offer in Scotland and the rest of the UK.”
He has more than fifteen years experience, mainly in the US, as a global Strategic Integrated Marketing Executive developing worldwide communication campaigns - with experience in the management & development of both national and international accounts.
Previously he was Global Group Account Director at USWeb/CKS (which became MarchFirst), a leading Internet firm with 42 offices worldwide where he managed global projects for diverse companies such as Microsoft, Virgin Music, Boeing and Freightliner.
Dan also helped build Redmond Technology Partners in Bellevue, WA into a boutique full-service digital firm. He worked on large-scale projects for Microsoft, the Cartoon Network, Nortel Networks, American Express, AOL, BellSouth, Deloitte Consulting, MSN, Warner Brothers, Guinness, San Diego Police Department, as well as multiple television stations and other media outlets as a successful independent consultant – focusing on the senior-level account management, strategic consulting and business development.
