Media firm One News Page Ltd, owners of global news portal www.onenewspage.com, is launching a website for Australian users, www.onenewspage.com.au
OneNewsPage.com.au caters for Australians who prefer to read stories sourced largely from familiar name news providers.
The site features live news headlines from over 140 trusted Australian news channels including all the leading daily news providers such as ABC News, Brisbane Times, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, and The Australian.
At launch, there is already a searchable archive of almost 600,000 news headlines. Each day, approximately 2,500 new stories are added to the archive.
The free of charge website offers a convenient way to discover and access the latest news stories on a number of topics, including current affairs, business and finance, politics, sports, celebrity, science and technology.
One News Page officially launched its first site, the global news headline portal www.onenewspage.com in May 2009, which is ranked by Quantcast as a top 10,000 US site.
Dr Marc Pinter-Krainer, Chief Executive Officer of One News Page, said, “We are delighted to launch today www.onenewspage.com.au. The new site has all the top stories from Australia ’s respected media providers, is free to use and intuitive to navigate. If users wish to register, it takes just seconds to do and provides them with other functions such as news alerts and the ability to email stories.”
