 Panasonic launches experiential 3D Roadshow

Panasonic is launching a Full High Definition (HD) 3D Roadshow designed to showcase the exciting possibilities of the 3D viewing experience directly to UK consumers.

The events will give consumers a preview of the 3D content that is available as well as the technology that Panasonic is developing to bring Full HD 3D programming to the home.

Brand experience agency BEcause has been appointed to coordinate and present the roadshow, using an 60m² interactive 3D theatre booth designed by Bates Design Ltd and built by the Early Action Group. 

The new roadshow made its first appearance at Grand Designs Live on October 9, 2009.   It will now visit Gatwick Airport and seven major shopping centres across the UK, including Trafford Centre (Manchester), Bluewater (Kent), Lakeside (Essex) and Westfield (London), in the run up to Christmas.

The stand itself features a private 14-seat 3D cinema, where consumers can watch an exclusive 3D trailer of James Cameron’s eagerly-anticipated 3D film, Avatar, on a 103” Panasonic screen using special 3D glasses.

The other half of the stand is more open, featuring plasma screens, graphics and gaming stations where consumers can learn about Panasonic’s range of HD technologies, ultrathin screens and Blue-Ray recorders.

The roadshow is being presented by a hand-picked team of six BEcause Brand Ambassadors and four Panasonic UK sales staff.
