Sponge, Mobile Dreams and CLANMO have teamed up and launched a pan-European mobile marketing initiative, called the Mobile One Alliance (M1A), to offer brands single, integrated mobile marketing campaigns and services via ‘best of breed’ agencies in each country.
Mobile One Alliance is a network of leading independent mobile marketing agencies. Sponge, which counts Coca-Cola, McVities and Auto Trader among its clients, has initially joined with Spanish agency Mobile Dreams Factory, and CLANMO, based in Germany, to create a global alliance that will allow strategy, technology and local knowledge to be shared in order to deliver the best possible mobile solutions to clients across Europe.
Mobile Dreams Factory was founded in 2004 and looks after clients including Vodafone, Mini and Diageo. Lufthansa, Konami and Porsche feature on CLANMO’s client roster. CLANMO launched in 2000. All three companies have won multiple awards for creative mobile campaigns.
Mobile One Alliance aims to recruit one mobile marketing agency from each territory in Europe over the next two years, and will push the message that mobile should be at the heart of digital marketing.
“A large number of pan-European mobile campaigns are devised and co-ordinated from the UK,” said Alex Meisl, Chairman of Sponge. “The idea behind the Mobile One Alliance is to build a network of leading mobile marketing agencies so that we can share infrastructure and learnings while offering our clients local market support. Clients will also benefit from economies of scale, and a single point of contact in their local market for multi-territory campaigns.”
Services offered will cover the whole scope of mobile solutions: consulting and strategy, design and usability, campaigns and advertising, media planning, mobile internet, mobile CRM, applications and content and messaging platforms.
Meisl continued: “We expect the alliance to grow to all major European markets and beyond in the coming two years. Membership will be based on strict criteria. Each member must be a leading player in its market with a blue-chip client base, be dedicated to excellence in mobile marketing and follow ethical business practices. Only one agency in each country will be invited to join.”
