Five different Buying Guides offer shoppers all the information they need to buy the right coffee machine, printer, digital camera, flat screen TV or laptop
Buying any electronic kit is a nerve-racking experience. The sheer range of products, prices and features available today makes it harder than ever to know what product is going to be most suitable.
To solve this problem Ciao, Europe’s leading online shopping community, today launches a range of exclusive Buying Guides to give shoppers all the information they need to make the right choice for them.
Based on the millions of reviews and international knowledge within the Ciao community, the new range of guides offer a quick and comprehensive overview of five of the most popular products that visitors search for on the Ciao site: coffee machines, printers, digital cameras, flat screen TVs and laptops.
Created by Ciao’s expert team of product advisors the guides offer advice to help shoppers navigate the product jungle and find the product that best suits their needs – at the right price.
“Our Buying Guides are based on a combination of community reviews and expert know-how,” says Daniel Keller, Partner Engineering Manager, Ciao Commerce Division at Microsoft.
“There is so much information out there on new products that it can be really hard for shoppers to identify the features that really matter to them. We have created the guides to provide the key facts in a quick and easy format and help shoppers narrow down the range of choices to the ones that are going to work best for them.”
Once shoppers have narrowed down their choice, they can start looking for specific information on products by using the reviews of Ciao’s community. In addition they can use Ciao’s newest community feature to ask specific questions on products to community members.
“The combination of the guides and the community’s reviews helps shoppers make the right purchase decision without any risks. This is a significant step towards our goal of creating the easiest possible shopping experience for our users”, Keller concludes.
