Maoam has launched a hit squad sampling and online campaign for to promote its new ChewTwo product.
The ChewTwo samples combine unexpected flavours such as Apple & Strawberry, Cherry & Cola, Blackcurrant & Lemon, Orange & Lime and Cherry & Banana, designed to tantalise the taste buds.
The campaign will initially consist of sampling in a ‘guerrilla hit squad’ style to target specific city centres in areas of high footfall, with a focus on engaging the key audience of 12-19 year olds. Activity will span 24 days over eight weeks, with three activity days a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). It is estimated that 600,000 ChewTwo samples will be distributed over the duration of the summer activity.
The campaign will cover a range of city centres including, London, Leicester, Nottingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, York, Norwich and Peterborough. To maximise engagement and drive traffic to the Maoam website, the campaign runs alongside an online competition where visitors have the chance to win a Nike ID shopping experience for two or one of 100 Maoam goody bags.
To take part consumers will have to answer a brief questionnaire on how they rate the new Maoam ChewTwo product, providing an opportunity for data capture from each entrant.

We have carefully selected the locations within each city to identify exactly where the hit squad teams can most effectively engage with them," said Chrissy Dransfield, Account Director at RPM, the agency which is co-ordinating the event.
"Our in-house staffing division has recruited young and enthusiastic brand communicators to bring to life the fun, quirky, off the wall brand values of Maoam’s ChewTwo, delivering key messaging around the products unique flavour combinations with each sample.”
Maoam is the No. 2 fruit flavour chew in the UK after Starburst, and Maoam ChewTwo is now available at Tesco & Morrison’s stores and independent retailers.
