British Gas staged a two day internal event for 800 staff from its Information Systems and Business Processes division this month, produced by live events and experiential specialist Line Up.
The strategic event, incorporating the theme of ‘One British Gas’, was held at Beaumont House, Windsor on 22 – 23 July. British Gas employees were invited in four groups of 200 to hear about forthcoming developments via a series of walk-through presentations led by members of the management team.
To accommodate numerous important messages, Line Up designed and built a series of presentation spaces designed for 20 people; each was supported by audio visual material and presented by an expert on that particular initiative.
David Bickerton, CIO at British Gas, comments: “This was an important event which required us to deliver a clear and conscious understanding of our One British Gas strategy. The feedback following the event was that its design and professionalism were first class, which is all thanks to Line Up”.
Duncan Beale, managing director, Line Up, comments: “Communicating internal change is all about transforming employee mindsets – something events can do more powerfully than any other medium. This was our first job for British Gas, so we’re delighted the event went down so well with everyone involved.”
