Bloomsbury-owned A & C Black is relaunching their Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook website (www.writersandartists.co.uk) this week, to enhance the user experience and drive engagement among the journalists, writers and artists who rely on the Yearbook as a resource.
The revamped website has been designed by leading digital agency Lateral, part of Tangent Communications plc.
A key part of the redesign is the creation of a social networking service on the website that offers the opportunity for writers and artists to create a public profile that will enable them to promote themselves to and be contacted by interested parties using the site.
The Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook website will also be encouraging data collection among its users by offering free searches of the Yearbook listings to those happy to provide their contact details. This will enable the Yearbook, A & C Black and Bloomsbury to engage them with relevant information and offers.
Furthermore, the website has increased the amount of content available, adding articles from the Yearbook, regular blog posts from the Yearbook’s team of experts – including author and artist guest bloggers - and top tips for all users on how to deal with rejection letters, and find a literary agent, for example.
