Sassy takes hold of Hannah Montana's new creative strategy

SASSY was originally briefed in June 2008 for a TV Test campaign in Sept ’08. SASSY produced 4 different creative treatments for the client and on a treatment choice proceeded to Storyboards and Pre-Production (including casting, set design/build, styling, hair & make-up, props etc.).

The commercial was filmed in SASSY’s own studio on HD on 4th September in a bespoke Hannah Montana Bedroom set designed by SASSY set-design & build team.

The ad is heavily product focused, very pacey and a lot of fun. Set to the
popular Hannah Montana theme tune, ‘Best of Both Worlds’, the ad features 3 (target market) tweens getting creative with the HM product. One of the girls is featured turning and dancing on the 3-D magazine pages.

All Post was carried out at SASSY’s state-of-the-art facility in Elstree. The ad was edited in Final Cut, the magazine pages and some of the product modelled in 3-D and composited in After Effects. An upbeat female American V/O was cast for the read, which was recorded in SASSY’s sound studio and mixed on Pro Tools HD7 with sound effects and voice-over laid over the soundtrack.

The Ad then went in to Research where it tested very well with few changes. The Test campaign was very successful – leading to the National launch this month.
