Real world engagement specialists Kyp Systems have been chosen to create the official visitors guide for the eagerly anticipated British Music Experience (BME).
The permanent exhibition at The O2 Arena London is dedicated to the history of popular music in Britain . It uses cutting edge technology and iconic memorabilia to show how rock, pop, dance and other genres were formed and have influenced the last sixty years of British culture.
As the official guide for the highly unique attraction, the BME iKyp – to be revealed next month – will provide visitors with everything they will need to enjoy, and later relive the experience.
Retailing at £5, the patented iKyp guide will feature essential information including a floorplan and exhibition commentary. The guide can be worn around the neck as a holder for the visitors ‘smarticket’ which uses RFID technology to allow visitors to activate the interactive elements of the exhibition.
The guide will also allow visitors to relive the BME experience at home via the integrated iKyp webkey. When plugged into a computer USB port, it connects them with their personalised BME webpage where they can listen to songs they recorded and watch themselves performing “Dance of the Decades” being coached by a “virtual” dancing professional. They will also be able to access free music downloads and exclusive offers.
Brand engagement specialist Nicholas Miller of Kyp Systems said: “The BME is pioneering in its use of technology to allow visitors to truly become a part of the exhibition – we’re delighted to be working with them to ensure the interactive experience lives on through the iKyp webkey guide.”
