The ranks of FDS International and acefieldwork have increased considerably over the last few weeks with five new faces taking their place at Hill House in north London.
Andrea Kennard joins the acefieldwork head office team as Project Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience in fieldwork. Prior to joining ace, Andrea spent nine months at the Independent Fieldwork Company and nine months with ORC International.
Throughout her career, Andrea has gained considerable experience in managing both large and small scale quantitative surveys using face-to-face, telephone and postal methodologies. She also has experience of executing qualitative research, both moderating and depth interviewing as well as analysis and reporting.
FDS has added to the ever-expanding B2B team by appointing Derek Brasier as Senior Research Executive. Derek hails from Canada and joins FDS following a three year stint at The Strategic Council in Toronto.
During his time there, Derek worked with a range of high-profile clients within the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Derek has broad and extensive experience in areas as diverse as NPD in the financial sector, to running a nationwide study of 40,000 undergraduates, in addition to carrying out public opinion research for the government of Ontario.
It’s not just the B2B team that has been strengthened; Dalila Magdu has joined the Social and Consumer team as a Senior Research Executive. Dalila previously worked for Dr Foster Intelligence on an innovative IT project for the NHS known as NHS Choices. This project required provision of insight to inform service development as well as benchmarking and evaluation. Dalila has a broad palette of experience encompassing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. She has also worked in a variety of other roles within a local authority setting, specifically within the social security and health sectors.
Sam Carter is one of the first to join the FDS graduate recruitment initiative. Sam recently graduated with a degree in Politics at Essex University, specialising in quantitative political analysis. His first tentative steps into the research industry involved him mainly in ad-hoc research projects; Sam has now been placed within the B2B team, working primarily with Senior Research Executive, Andrew Powell.
A second graduate, Louise Park, is also making her first foray into the research world working with the FDS Social and Consumer team. Louise graduated from Oxford University in 2007 and then spent a year in Japan teaching English and pursuing her interest in Japanese culture. At university, Louise studied Human Sciences which will certainly stand her in good stead for the future.
FDS and acefieldwork are extremely pleased to announce the arrival of such a talented collection of individuals and can look to the future with great positivity.
