Canon is re-launching its online B2C stores across European countries to align its presence with their reputation for excellence, whilst also hosting an interactive competition game to tie in with promoting its UEFA EURO 2008 sponsorship.
The UK e-store went live this month, whilst other European countries will follow in a staged process over the next few weeks. Curious, an online EMEA specialist agency is behind the design and front-end build of the re-launched online store, working with Canon’s retained agency Digital River, by selling direct to consumers.
Canon re-launched online store for Europe was going to be a challenge for a digital agency. The Curious team redesigned the Canon online store with creativity, technical skills combined with the ability to understand the complexities and dovetailing with partner agencies to execute in Europe.”
In addition to Europe e-store re-brand and interactive flash football game, also managed by Curious, the re-branding tied in with its first consumer hardware launch, whereby consumers can now buy direct from Canon. This means that cameras, camcorders, printers, accessories and consumables can now be bought directly from Canon, which means that we will increase the choice and the availability of Canon products for our consumers.

The Canon work comes on the back of Curious expanding into its London office through development of partnership with JustMedia, as well as high-profile account wins with Next Directory Online, Access Accounting research and Haven Holidays.
