COOL Blue Brand Communications has scooped a major account-win with one of the North-East’s leading architects firms.
The creative agency will create and deliver a full programme of branding, design and PR for Stokesley-based DKS Architects to reposition the firm as one of the ‘big few’ design-led practices in the North-East and Yorkshire.
The growing DKS business provides architectural, planning and interior design services across a number of sectors that cover commercial, public sector and residential.
Cool Blue’s remit with DKS will include a regional and national PR strategy, a brand refresh, a new website design, an internal communications programme, a direct mail campaign and a recruitment initiative.
DKS recently picked up an award for its commercial work at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) North-East awards ceremony, known otherwise as the “property Oscars”. The full service practice is led by four partners, Martin Desmond, David Knudsen, Mark Barlow and Steve Hesmondhalgh.
Steve said: “As a design-led practice we fully appreciate the value of real creativity and were blown away with the out-of-the-box thinking demonstrated by the team at Cool Blue.
“We are a very ambitious practice and hope Cool Blue’s creative approach will help us achieve clear differentiation in our marketplace. We expect they will play a very important role in our continued growth and future success.”
Middlesbrough-based Cool Blue specialises in PR, branding, marketing and design and was recently crowned North-East Service Business of the Year in the Tees Valley region for its commitment to client management. The agency has also just launched its highly playful new website – www.coolbluebrand.com.
Managing director at Cool Blue Tanya Garland said: “DKS Architects is already an outstanding success in its field.
“However, it is now at a stage in its growth cycle where it will massively benefit from an integrated and consistent marcomms campaign that will position and propel the business to the next level.
“The DKS team place great significance on creativity so in many ways this is a dream client. We are very excited by the challenge and are delighted to have been given such a fantastic opportunity,” added Tanya.
One of the largest communications agencies in the North-East, Cool Blue is the region’s leading converged traditional and multi-media specialist, with a team comprising of experienced ex-journalists, marketeers, PR professionals, designers and programmers.
The agency, which has also in the last six months picked up three Gold Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards, has an impressive client portfolio that includes Tees Valley Regeneration, BNS Telecom, Barker and Stonehouse, Bradford Channel, Johnson Matthey, Garlands Call Centres and leading fair trade organisation, Traidcraft.
